Maria Jao has significant turnaround consulting experience including advising senior management, secured lenders and unsecured creditors in financial and operational restructurings both out-of-court and throughout the Chapter 11 process. Her management and financial advisory experience spans across a variety of industries including telecom, airline, auto rental, industrial products and specialty manufacturing.
Prior to joining Conway MacKenzie, Ms. Jao was a Managing Principal with Tridium Associates LLC, a boutique restructuring firm based in New York. Prior to that she was at FTI’s Corporate Finance and Restructuring practice as well as the Business Restructuring Service group of PricewaterhouseCoopers where she was involved with the turnaround of under-performing businesses and revitalization of distressed companies.
Ms. Jao earned her Masters of Business Administration from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University and her Bachelor of Science in Business Management from De La Salle University in the Philippines. She is a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor and is a member of the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors, Turnaround Management Association and the Women’s Association of Venture & Equity. |
