D. James Papageorgiou is the leader of Conway MacKenzie's Michigan litigation support practice. Mr. Papageorgiou provides expert testimony in depositions, arbitration and in trial in state and federal court cases. He has performed numerous fraud investigations and advisory services in the real estate industry and has provided advisory services to real estate investors and lenders with respect to cash flow analysis, disposition of real estate assets and matters involving parties in dispute. He also provides turnaround and restructuring consulting services to distressed businesses.
Mr. Papageorgiou's expertise includes analysis and quantification of economic damages in connection with accounting and insolvency matters, professional malpractice, breach of contract claims, lost profits, intellectual property disputes, loss of business enterprise value and contractual interference. He has also performed numerous business valuations used in connection with litigation.
Prior to joining Conway MacKenzie, Mr. Papageorgiou owned several businesses in the residential and commercial real estate brokerage, title insurance and mortgage banking industries. He was also a Certified Public Accountant at Deloitte & Touche.
Mr. Papageorgiou is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified in Financial Forensics, Certified Fraud Examiner and a licensed real estate broker. He received his B.B.A. from Wayne State University and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Turnaround Management Association and the National Association of Realtors.
