Recognizing the need for a firm providing specialized, turnaround consulting and litigation support services, Van Conway and Don MacKenzie founded Conway MacKenzie in 1987. Three years later, Patrick Dunleavy joined the firm and it became Conway MacKenzie & Dunleavy.
 

Focusing on middle market clients, Conway MacKenzie & Dunleavy achieved success and rapid growth. As demand for the firm’s services has grown, consultants with exceptional financial and accounting experience – as well as expertise in other areas such as manufacturing operations – have been added. Most recently, the firm has continued to grow by establishing additional offices throughout the Midwest.
