Mandy Townsend is experienced at providing restructuring,
financial analysis, strategic planning, and negotiation
services. She has managed a number of distressed corporate
situations, assisted companies through Chapter 11
reorganizations and Chapter 7 liquidations, negotiated §363
sales, and effectively delivered substantial savings to her
clients through the successful negotiation of accommodation
agreements, bank terms, surcharge policies, pricing agreements,
and contract terms.
Most recently, Ms. Townsend has facilitated the out-of-court
restructuring of an $80M manufacturer through the negotiation of
additional liquidity and turnaround management. In another case,
she led surcharge negotiations during a contract restructuring,
which lead to the creation of a revised long-term agreement that
was incorporated as part of the final restructuring plan. She
has led a number of successful turnaround and refinancing
initiatives as well as managed various wind-down processes. Ms.
Townsend also has extensive recent experience with delivering
viability assessments and restructuring plans through the
preparations and analysis of forecasted financial statements for
potential lending institutions.
Prior to joining Conway MacKenzie & Dunleavy, Ms. Townsend
was a Senior Consultant in Plante & Moran’s Restructuring and
Turnaround group. She had previously spent six years at
multi-billion dollar automotive manufacturer, where she managed
over $500 million dollars of various products while at the same
time leading the company’s Global Forging Commodity Strategy
task force.
Ms. Townsend earned her Master of Business Administration
degree from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University
of North Carolina – Chapel Hill and her Bachelor of Science
degree in Business Administration from the University of
Nebraska - Lincoln. She is a member of the Association of
Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors, Turnaround Management
Association, American Bankruptcy Institute and the Association
for Corporate Growth.
